Read →Updated 2026-10-13Moonfrost is a cosy life-sim RPG from Oxalis Games about rebuilding a village that a fallen second moon has slowly buried in ice and rubble. You arrive as a Frost Hunter, learn to cut and shape the Moonfrost shards that rained down a hundred years ago, and spend your days farming, fishing, cooking, crafting, decorating and clearing the roads so the people living here can come back.
These pages are written against the build that went live on 12 October 2026, when Moonfrost entered Steam Early Access — checked against the store page, the developers' own announcements and patch notes, and their pinned FAQ.

Before you start
- Price and platform. $14.99 on Windows PC with a 10% launch discount. No Mac, console or mobile version; minimum spec is Windows 11, 8 GB RAM, 3 GB video memory.
- Languages. English (with full audio), Spanish-Spain, Simplified and Traditional Chinese, and Japanese. Indonesian was added on launch day; Korean and Thai are planned.

Direct answers
Is Moonfrost out yet? Yes — it entered Steam Early Access on 12 October 2026 at 6 PM BST.
Is it a crypto or NFT game? No. The developers' FAQ states Moonfrost has no NFTs or blockchain features and never will, and explains the Web3 plan it was built on before that direction was dropped.
Does the demo save carry over? Progress made in the updated demo carries into the full game. Saves from the older demo are no longer compatible and need a fresh start.
How long will Early Access last? The developers are aiming for 1.0 in early 2027 and say the pace depends on player feedback.
Is there multiplayer? No. Moonfrost is designed as a single-player game; the team says it is open to multiplayer later if it makes sense.
